I am Adam Walker, the proud founder and Director of L.R.L Education Ltd. I hold Qualified Teacher Status and a BA (Hons) in Secondary Education, and bring over 15 years of experience teaching Mathematics within mainstream secondary schools. My dedication to raising pupil attainment was recognised through the award of the National Professional Qualification for Senior Leadership, following the successful delivery of targeted improvement projects.

Over the course of my career, I have worked across a diverse range of school settings, supporting pupils from a variety of backgrounds — including those with SEND, learning difficulties, and those who are disengaged from education. I have consistently held high-level responsibilities, leading on the development of staff and driving progress for some of the most disadvantaged young people in the country.

My journey into education was shaped by my own challenging upbringing. I was fortunate to be supported by three inspirational teachers — Mr Thomas, Mrs McEwan and Mrs Spencer — who believed in me, nurtured my confidence, and raised my aspirations. Their impact remains with me to this day and continues to fuel my passion for education.

Founding L.R.L Education was a deeply personal decision, driven by my commitment to improving the life chances of young people who find themselves disaffected by their school experience. My time in mainstream education has given me a clear understanding of the growing pressures faced by schools in meeting the complex needs of pupils affected by trauma, SEND and disadvantage. At L.R.L, we’ve created a provision that offers the time, space and tailored support these learners require to thrive.

A key concern of mine is the widening attainment gap between pupils with SEND, those who are looked after, and those eligible for the pupil premium, compared to their peers. I am passionate about re-engaging these learners by providing high-quality, personalised tuition, meaningful enrichment opportunities and a focus on building essential life skills such as communication, confidence and resilience. I truly believe that this holistic approach offers a powerful foundation for long-term success.
